They recommend the establishment of clubs and activities, promote and enforce high standards for personal conduct and assist in the allocation and disbursement of student activity funds which support extra-curricular activities. They are responsible for maintaining mutual understanding among administration, faculty, and student body. The Student Senate also provides education and training for student leaders. In order to be eligible for membership, individuals must have at least a 3.50 GPA (and maintain a 3.25 thereafter) towards a degree program. Members of the society can choose to participate in numerous community service projects over the year as well as apply for numerous scholarships made available to members.
